[NYPT Summer 2018]
By Melissa Cancro, Programs Coordinator
A new school year is upon us. New schools, new teachers – there are so many changes. Our Programs Team has some changes in the new PTA year too.
Two of our team members are off to new positions! Amanda Tobias is now the Urban Specialist and Lynn Petrosky is now the Nassau Region Director. Thank you both for all your hard work and help this past year! We will miss working so closely with each of these ladies!
We welcome two new team members!
Gail Gligora, from Genesee Valley Region, is our new Awards Specialist. You may already know Gail from the PTA Store at various events. We were fortunate that Gail was open to joining the Programs Team. Gail brings her experience and organization to our team.
Alaina Rullo, from Southeastern Region, is our new Arts Specialist. She brings enthusiasm, knowledge and new ideas to our team. The Arts Specialist combines the Reflections program and promoting the arts into one position. Reflections chairs can look to Alaina for information and help.
Stephanie Avidon, from Nassau Region, is returning for another year and is our seasoned team member. Stephanie’s new title is Literacy Specialist. What about PARP? Never fear! Stephanie will still be overseeing all things PARP. This new title allows her to expand on her love of reading and advocate for literacy.
Programs is always on the go! We are looking forward to the new PTA year!
