It’s time for The Great PTA Sign Up Day tomorrow Wednesday, November 10. In celebration of our 125th Annual Convention, our statewide goal for the day is to register 5125 members. With 1 day to go, we are asking all units to join us in this effort. We have an inspiring day planned and hope your units does also. Together we can make the day a picture-perfect success!
We will be using social media (facebook, twitter, Instagram and TikTok) to build excitement during The Great PTA Sign Up Day. NYS PTA will be posting to social media to announce the progress every two hours starting at 8 am and continuing through 8 pm. Keep the momentum going by sharing these posts and those from your region on your unit’s social media. Remember to tag @NYSPTA and include your link to your MemberHub store in your unit’s posts. You can also share your posts to our NYS PTA Leaders page.

Let The Great PTA Sign Up Day inspire your unit’s progress toward achieving one or more of our upcoming award badges like the Students Rock, Super Teacher/Staff and Male Engagement Awards. Collect the Savvy Award Badge through January for reaching 100% of your membership goal!

• Check over last year’s membership list and reach out to those who have not renewed their membership with a quick but impactful email message:
Example – Last year you supported us by being a member of our PTA. Would you consider joining again? “add your MemberHub Store link”. We are x number away from meeting our goal! Thank you!
• Print a small flyer with your “ask” message and your QR code link to your MemberHub store and distribute it at the morning drop-off line and/or the afternoon pick up line.
• Have a friendly competition- Divide your board members into teams and see which team can personally ask the most new members to join.

- Who will you ask to join your PTA? – parents, caregivers, staff, community supporters
- How will you ask them to join your PTA? -social media post, flyer, personal contact
- Where will you ask them to join your PTA? – at a school event, with a table at the public library, from a printed invitation shared with customers by a local business

- Check out our NYS PTA TikTok channel and submit your Join PTA/#nysptarush video to us with this form.
