EF helps teachers change their students’ lives through educational travel. And frankly, EF does student travel better than anyone else. Our secret sauce? A time-tested blend of product innovation, global expertise, and superhuman support.
When students travel on EF tours, they expand their knowledge of the world around them, discover more about themselves, grow more confident and independent, and understand new people, places, and cultures. And when educators lead these tours, they grow in countless ways, bringing back a new perspective to their own classroom.
As NYS begins to plan for a school reopening, safety of our students is of highest priority.
NYS PTA is pleased to partner with EF Educational Tours to ensure that when our students begin to travel again, their safety is ensured.
“The actions of EF Educational Tours during the beginning days of the worldwide pandemic were extraordinary, and their responsibility should be commended,” offered Lorey A. Zaman, NYS PTA President. “In a matter of days, and at extraordinary business expense, EF Educational Tours brought thousands of children home to their families. Moving forward, as schools and families allow children to travel again, we know EF will support them and their safety.”
“Being a part of the world’s largest international education company allows us to provide these travel opportunities to as many students as possible, while continuing to always make traveler safety our top priority,” said James McDermott, Director of New York State for EF Educational Tours. “We have a network of more than 500 brick and mortar offices and schools with staff trained in scenario response protocols in over 100 countries. When the March travel restrictions went into effect, this infrastructure allowed us to bring thousands of travelers home starting immediately. Our investment in safety is why so many teachers have chosen us as their educational travel partner over the past 55 years.”
NYS PTA and EF Educational Tours will continue to work together on supporting student educational travel and will work with parents and families when they have questions on student safety abroad.
“Parents and families want their children to explore, to learn, and to experience. With concerns about health and safety, we understand that this is not possible now. However when our schools and families are ready to explore again, we are thrilled to work with EF to ensure our students are protected,” added Kyle Belokopitsky, NYS PTA Executive Director.
