Good Standing Requirements to Qualify:

  1. State/National dues paid for at least 25 members 
  2. Insured with the AIM NYS PTA Insurance package
  3. Bylaws that are not expired
  4. 990 Filing is current and IRS Exemption not Revoked
  5. Officers updated with current school year in MemberHub

Your PTA Membership Goal will be updated for 2023-24 by NYS PTA in MemberHub by August 31!
Sep 2023 – Early Bird Award (new lower percentage)
  • Reach 50% of your Membership Goal to earn the Early Bird Award badge
  • Pay State/National dues for all members who have joined to date by September 30
  • 12 random winners (one from each region) will receive a PTA Swag gift

Oct 2023 – Trailblazer Award
  • Reach 75% of your Membership Goal to earn the Trailblazer Award badge
  • Pay State/National dues for all members who have joined to date by October 31
  • 12 random winners (one from each region) will receive a PTA Swag gift

Nov 2023 – Super Teacher/Staff Award

  • Achieve more than 75% of your total number of school employees as Teacher/Staff members to earn the Super Teacher/Staff Award badge
  • Required to qualify – Enter your school’s Number of Employees on MemberHub – navigate to Compliance>View Unit Data and scroll down to find the field then edit and save
  • Enter “TEACHER/STAFF” member type OR answer YES to Teacher/Staff question
  • Pay State/National dues for all members who have joined to date by November 30
  • 4 random winners will be selected from all achievers to receive a PTA Swag gift

Sep 2023- Jan 2024 – Savvy Membership Award 

  • Reach 100% of your Membership Goal to earn the Savvy Membership Award badge
  • Pay State/National dues for all members who have joined to date by the end of each month
  • 3 random PTA winners drawn each month (Sep to Jan) from all achievers to receive a $100 cash prize

Jan 2024 – Engagement+ Award (new name – self-nominated award)

The PTA Plus+ Everyone Can PTA punch card will help members track how many additional family/friend memberships they have added during the year. Your PTA unit may choose to offer an incentive for families to complete this challenge to grow your membership. 

  • Complete the Google Form to share your experience with the PTA Plus+ punch card to self nominate and earn the Engagement+ Award badge
  • 4 random winners will be selected from all achievers to receive a PTA Swag gift

Feb 2024 – Founders Day Award

LIKE and FOLLOW the New York State PTA Facebook page so posts show up in your newsfeed

  • Enter more than 10 new members this month to earn the Founders Day Award badge
  • Promote social engagement – SHARE NYS PTA Facebook posts with your friends
  • Ask every current member to add their PLUS ONE new member this month
  • Pay State/National dues for all members who have joined to date by February 28
  • 2 random winners will be selected from all achievers to receive a PTA Swag gift

Feb 10-17, 2024 – Founders Day Celebration Membership Drive
  • Stay tuned to emails for details! 
Feb 2024 & May 2024 – Membership All Stars

  • Earn 5 or more Membership Awards throughout the year to qualify as a Membership All Star!

Mar 2024 – Students Rock Award (new lower percentage)

  • Achieve more than 20% of your total membership as Student members to earn the Students Rock Award badge
  • Enter student members using the “STUDENT” member type
  • Pay State/National dues for all members who have joined to date by March 31
  • 4 random winners will be selected from all achievers to receive a PTA Swag gift

April 2024 – Community Voices Award (new self-nominated)

  • Ask Alumni who move on to another school to continue to support your PTA
  • Make sure your PTA is present at community events
  • Seek out Business Sponsors and/or create a member benefits program with local business
  • Complete the Google Form (coming later) to share your strategies for maintaining Alumni Support and for increasing business members/sponsors for your PTA
  • 4 random winners will be selected from all achievers to receive a PTA Swag gift

 May 2024 – Good Apple Membership Growth Awards
  • Challenge your PTA to grow your Membership total over last year by 100%, 50% or 25%
  • Pay State/National dues for all members to date by May 31
  • Achieve the highest growth statewide to receive a $300 cash prize

Achieve membership growth year over year to earn the following recognition:
  • Achieve 100% growth to earn the GOLD Good Apple Award badge
  • Achieve 50% growth to earn the SILVER Good Apple Award badge
  • Achieve 25% growth to earn the BRONZE Good Apple Award badge
