A Stripe account allows your unit to be able to process online credit/debit transactions through Givebacks. The owner of the account should be either the president or treasurer of your unit. Each time the position transitions to a new person, the ownership of the Stripe accounts needs to be transferred. If this is not done then the Stripe account can be suspended which will prevent online purchases. This is different from remitting state/national dues through ACH.
To check if your Stripe account is active, go to the Dashboard in Givebacks. Navigate to “Financial Management” in the menu on the left, and select “Stripe Settings”. If the status is “connected” and the email listed is the current president or treasurer, then you are good!
