Membership is everyone’s job and with PTA Your Way you will soar to success. Hello everyone, my name is Helen Hoffman. I am the NYS PTA Secretary and Designated Officer for Membership. Our members are our voice and without our voice we cannot do all the wonderful things that we need to do for our students.
Now, more than ever NYS PTA needs your help in encouraging parents, teachers, students, staff, Board of Education members, Superintendents, grandmas, grandpas, and all community members to join your PTA. We need their voice – You need their voice.
We are currently 240,000 members strong and our members support our advocacy effort in Albany and Washington DC; the wonderful programs, such as Reflections, that all students participate in and many of the awards your PTA and NYS PTA offers for students and teachers.
My amazing Membership Team is here to help you to achieve this success and give you the tools you need to encourage members to join. The Membership team includes Mary Sotomayor, our NYS PTA Membership Coordinator, Kevin Lundell, our Male Engagement Specialist, and two NYS PTA office staff members – Dania Welch, our Membership/Insurance Manager, and Linda Lorusso, our Communication/Marketing Associate.
They say it takes a village to raise a child and we have a village who support us in our effort to make this the BEST MEMBERSHIP year ever. Working together, we can make every child’s potential a reality!
