We offer package options that can include more that just a show, including post-show talk backs, follow up materials, and even a trained SEL facilitator working with students in the classroom on the skills presented in our productions!

PS Productions is proud to announce its first ever Virtual Arts-in-Education series for the 2021-2022 academic year. Due to the on-going health crisis in our world, we understand the hardships that educators are facing this academic year. And while the COVID-19 pandemic does not allow for us to tour currently to schools, we are thrilled to be bringing our productions straight to you and your students…virtually!
Schools who purchase on demand licensing will be sent a private link for a pre-recorded performance which includes unlimited viewing for 7 days, so teachers and students can watch on their schedule. Link can be sent to families for home viewing too, which makes a great family engagement tool. Also includes follow-up activities for the classroom.

WEIRD! THE MUSICAL
Weird! The Musical, based on the books in The Weird! Series (Weird!, Tough!, and Dare!) by Erin Frankel and Paula Heaphy, is an energetic family musical with a powerful message. One story of bullying told from three different female character’s perspectives – the one who is being bullied, the one who is standing by, and the one using bullying behavior. Families and kids will enjoy seeing the pages of the books come to life on stage with Luisa, Sam, Jayla and their friends learning where their power comes from and how to use it.
Audiences love Weird! The Musical, with soaring music and scenes that will speak to issues students face every day. Peaceful Schools Production kicked off the 2018-19 school year with the launch of the First Official Touring production of Weird! The Musical which toured to Central and Western NY schools. The show was recorded professionally, with multiple camera angles, during a run of public performances at The Oncenter Carrier Theater in Syracuse, NY. This June 9, 2019 performance was nominated for 5 SALT (Syracuse Area Live Theater) Awards including Best Musical, Best Director, and Best Ensemble and was recently nominated for numerous Broadway World’s Best of 2020 Awards winning Best Original Script of the Decade.

Based on Carol McCloud’s award-winning books, the play tells the story of Trey, a 4th grade student who learns about Bucket Filling at summer camp. Along the way he is helped by Mimi the camp counselor, Professor Smarty Pants III, and Bucket Filling Fairy. This theatrical adaptation is a fun and effective way to teach students how to treat each other with kindness and respect.

WE SAY WHAT’S OKAY SERIES
Centered around a class of preschoolers, the We Say What’s Okay series helps teach young children the social and emotional skills they need to understand the complexities of consent. Each book covers a consent theme, such as how to recognize the physical sensations that emotions create, look for body language cues, ask for and listen to choices, and know that our bodies have value. With believable, everyday situations and diverse characters, children can see themselves and others reflected in each story—and develop a vocabulary to communicate consent and feelings. Every book in the series is accompanied by a song from Peaceful Schools with downloadable MP3 files and sheet music.
