Story Pirates is an award-winning educational media company that celebrates the stories and voices of young people. Founded in 2004 as a creative writing program in a single New York City school, it has grown into a beloved family entertainment brand with a dynamic multi-platform presence.

The organization is best known for the multi-award winning The Story Pirates Podcast, launched in 2017, which features stories written by kids adapted into sketch comedy with the help of A-list comedians. With over 100 million downloads, the podcast has become a cornerstone of children’s audio entertainment.

Story Quest Live Assembly

Story Quest Creative Writing Program

Created by the makers of the #1 podcast for kids and families, Story Quest is Story Pirates’ wildly popular supplemental creative writing curriculum. It’s an engaging, hilarious, and memorable way to bring literacy to life.

This four-episode podcast mini-series guides students through the fundamentals of narrative writing. Teachers receive printable graphic organizers to help students brainstorm, write, and revise their original story. Every child receives a personal note of support from the Story Pirates, plus a custom bonus episode made exclusively to celebrate the writing of each classroom.

• Classes receive 4 weeks of narrative writing lessons in the form of hilarious mini-podcasts created by the makers of the world-famous Story Pirates Podcast. Each lesson can be completed in one-class period

• Students use graphic organizers to outline and write their original stories
• Teachers send each student’s story to Story Pirates who read and respond to every story with a personalized note of encouragement
